Buongiorno a tutti,
scrivo per chiedere un consiglio sull'installazione del pennino Jowo nel nuovo "kit" alimentatore e collare in ebanite prodotto da Flexible Nib Factory.

Recentemente con il gruppo d'acquisto guidato dal valente Koten , ho acquistato un J6E, ossia in gruppo alimentatore + collare in ebanite per pennini Jowo #6.
Lo scopo e' quello di "rivitalizzare" un pennino Jowo con un alimentatore piu' performante.

Il problema pero' e' il seguente: accoppio e allineo il pennino e l'alimentatore e provo a inserirli nel collare, ma non entrano del tutto.
Anche se premo abbastanza forte, entrano circa a meta'. Sembra quasi che il collare sia troppo stretto e sinceramente mi sembra quasi impossibile farli entrare senza rompere tutto...

E' capitato anche a voi? Avete qualche trucco (aqua e sapone, riscaldare il collare...sto sparando a caso... )?

So che c'è un lungo e dettagliato spiegone sul sito nella sezione dedicata a quel collarino e alimentatore, spero sia più facile a farsi che a dirsi:

A note on interference (friction) fit. The JoWo #6 nib assembly is held together with an interference fit. This means the diameter of the inside of the housing is smaller than the combined diameter of the nib sitting on the feed. This method of fit is required so the nib and feed don’t move in the housing while you write. The initial fit may be very tight, so tight that you may have difficulty getting the nib and feed fully inserted into the housing. If the fit is too tight for your finger strength, here are two ways to assist you getting the nib and feed fully inserted into the housing.

Soak the feed and housing in warm, soapy water (dish soap works well) for a few minutes, and try again. Chances are the additional lubrication will allow you to fully seat the nib and feed into the housing.
After you get the nib assembled into the housing, use your cartridge converter to flush the soapy water out of the nib assembly with clean water until all the soap is gone.
If the assembly is still too tight, then use this method (for black and red ebonite only):

Soak the housing ONLY in hot water from your tap. You can use water up any temperature that your bare skin can allow, but don’t exceed 60C (140F). Allow the ebonite to soak for a few minutes. It will enlarge and soften slightly due to the hot water and make it easier to slide the nib and feed into the housing.
Be careful and make sure not to burn yourself in the hot water. Insert the nib and feed into the housing and adjust as needed to align the feed and nib. Allow the assembly to cool to room temperature and it is now ready for writing.

Io ho ordinato il kit collare-alimentatore per Bock 250, ed effettivamente è come dici tu, sembra che il collare sia troppo stretto e che pennino e alimentatore non entrino. Dovrebbe essere fatto apposta per tenere tutto in sede e senza perdite una volta montato. Io personalmente ho risolto con una veloce passata di phon sul collarino e inserimento subito prima che si raffreddasse. È entrato tutto alla perfezione.

sì, sono stretti, vanno seguite le istruzioni perché non si possono calzare senza scaldare il collare.
Io ho usato la tecnica dell'acqua calda. Va messo a bagno in acqua quasi al bollore solo il collare, va tenuto lì un minutino, poi occhio a non scottarsi, va tirato fuori dall'acqua aiutandosi con una pinzetta, cucchiaino o simile, e poi, con calma ma senza perder troppo tempo, va calzato pennino e alimentatore, fin quando si nota la codina dell'alimentatore che ha impegnato fino in fondo il peduncolo dell'alimentatore.
Non è proprio una passeggiata, ma con calma si riesce.
