Comincio questa settimana continuando a presentare la mia piccola famiglia di Imperial Sheaffers.
Oggi è il turno della mia Sheaffer Imperial Triumph V, della fine degli anni '60.
Desidero prenotare qui per un mio errore, dato che chiamavo "Sheaffer's" la mia famiglia, quando in realtà già a quel tempo si chiamavano "Sheaffer"...(Nel 1966, la storica azienda viene venduto a Textron Inc., e una delle loro prime decisioni è quella di rimuovere il marchio "Sheaffer's" dalla clip e cambiarlo in "Sheaffer" su tutti i modelli e gli articoli pubblicitari).
Nel caso di questo Imperial le peculiarità sono due..., la prima è la mancanza di una corona incisa sul cappuccio, e la seconda e più eclatante è la continuazione del sistema di ricarica Touch Down.
Il peso e le dimensioni della penna, le ritengo ideali, e come sempre nutro un'ammirazione speciale per il sistema Touch Down e per quel magnifico pennino di tipo "Inlaid Long", che anche negli anni continua a scorrere con facilità...
Per quanto riguarda le condizioni, il precedente proprietario se ne prendeva davvero molta cura, dato che non necessitava di alcuna manutenzione..., io lo stavo solo pulendo, riempiendo di inchiostro (Lamy mango 80% e Lamy turchese 20%, per ottenere un verde "forest green"), e iniziando a scrivere...

Cara Daniela, grazie per le tue parole...!!! Con riferimento agli inchiostri, ricordando i miei anni di lavoro nel settore della stampa grafica, bastano solo tre inchiostri per creare milioni di colori... giallo, ciano e magenta, e gli inchiostri devono soddisfare la condizione di non essere opachi ma trasparenti, per funzionare come filtri.
Logicamente, sul mercato, i produttori non li venderanno con quei nomi (più il nome è carino, più l'inchiostro sarà costoso...) ma penso che gli inchiostri che più somigliano a quello che stiamo cercando, saranno il colore della maniglia di lamy per il giallo, lamy turchese per il ciano e un po' di rodamina per il magenta ... Devi solo stare attento, perché il blu non è ciano e il rosso non è magenta ...
