Swan Mabie todd Toledo

Ecco una Mabie Todd red ripple con lavorazione Tipo Toledo lever filler degli anni 30' che ho preso perche' e' piuttosto
bella. Il pennino, anzi i pennini perche' ce n'e' anche uno di ricambio hanno la scritta " Jackdaw 14 kr. made in Eng.".
Io non mi intendo di penne inglesi, magari qualcuno di voi ne sa di piu'...

you got a nice pen.
as per my opinion, this mabie todd has been dressed by a " gioielliere " probably in England, the art work is known as damascus scene, usually this kind of job is done on soft steel then gold filled, the green/grey parts are obtened by oxydation of the metal.
If you authorize me this comment, but i AM NOT SURE 100%
the adjustments between the sleeve on the body and the cap are not integrated in the pen as it should do, just like someone take sleeves and put it on body and cap, look on the photo one known as original and see the difference , then the line which goes from the end to the other end of the body ( where is the lever ) is not straight and when you know the quality of the british cratfmanship....so, these 2 arguments make me suspicious about this pen.
Then, like all pens, the price you have paid could also be a sign ( yes I know...some of us have found nel armadio adiacente alla nonna un fantastico Dunhill Namiki maki e 1930 mai usato per 50 euros...)

Buonasera Emmanuel. In effetti questa penna l'ho pagata non 50 ma 25 Euro.
Questo avrebbe dovuto farmi capire che non poteva essere autentica.
