Pennino conico: tecnica costruttiva

Salve, ho una domanda circa il pennino Triumph: come accidenti lo producevano?
Hanno piegato del metallo, come si fa per tutti i pennini e poi saldavano le estremità libere?

Non so come facevano alla Sheaffer, ma il proprietario della Visconti ha spiegato su questo forum (dovresti poter trovare il Topic con la funzione cerca) come fanno i loro nuovi pennini conici.
In breve: li tagliano direttamente da un tubo.

Io ne ho trovati diversi tagliati nella parte inferiore. Taglio netto, il che mi lascia pensare che non fossero saldati. Semmai tensioni interne. Mi è capitato un taglio simile in un recipiente inox per l'olio. Talmente netto che pareva fresato. In genere il metallo si rompe accanto alle saldature e si strappa. Però, tornando alla tua domanda, non saprei come facessero.

Ho trovato il topic, davvero molto interessante! In effetti avevo pensato anche la possibilità del tubo tagliato, ma mi sembrava un procedimento più complesso rispetto alla saldatura del pennino curvato!

Sul sito di Richard Binder ho trovato questa pubblicità, che potrebbe far privilegiare l'ipotesi del pennino piegato e saldato.

There was also an invisible change that proved useful to repairers; the manufacturing process for the “TRIUMPH” point was changed, and instead of being formed and welded, the nibs were spun from tubular stock. In pratica si è passati da una prima serie di pennini piegati, saldati e levigati a una seconda lavorata a partire da una sezione tubolare.
